PEUGEOT e-208 and e-2008 given range boost and other updates

PEUGEOT has increased the range of its pure electric e-208 and e-2008 by making a number of efficiency improvements.

This means the 2022 e-208 has a range of 225 miles (up from 217 miles) on a single charge while the 2022 e-2008’s range has increased to 214 miles (up from 206 miles), according to the WLTP cycle.

PEUGEOT has also updated the trim levels across the e-208 and e-2008 ranges meaning that from 2022, the EVs will be available in Active Premium, Allure Premium, GT and GT Premium.

All versions of the e-2008 now benefit from the fitment of Class A+ tyres and so too do e-208 owners of the Active Premium and Allure Premium versions. These tyres provide greater efficiency thanks to lower rolling resistance.

Interior humidity sensors have also been installed on each of the car’s windscreens along with an improved heat pump, which together heat and cool the cabins more effectively, resulting in better range.

Another efficiency improvement has been the introduction of a new gearbox on both EVs to optimise range at motorway speeds.

Outside, the door mirror covers now come in diamond black on the Active Premium and Allure Premium trims for a sportier look.

To reduce range anxiety, customers of any full-electric PEUGEOT vehicle benefit from a free 6-month subscription to bp pulse, one of the largest public charging networks in the UK.
