Octopus Electric Vehicles has introduced an all-you-need EV package that will provide electric car buyers in the UK and US with smart charging solutions including a free charger and low energy tariff.

The British EV leasing company announced the launch of its “ultimate” EV package as it sets up a second country base in the States, where it will also provide concierge service.

Along with the personal EV experts who will help drivers pick the right car and answer any questions, the EV package will include a combination of Octopus’s flexible green charging, low tariffs, and a free Ohme Home Pro charger.

“We’ve seen that drivers are looking for experts that can offer the full EV package to guide them through their journey,” said Fiona Howarth, CEO of Octopus Electric Vehicles. “With more EV models entering the market every month, and innovative tariffs like Intelligent Octopus making charging your car as easy as your phone, we only expect the transition to accelerate.”

The UK customers will also be offered maintenance and breakdown cover for the car’s tyres, servicing, repair and roadside assistance from The AA, all on one bill, which the company says can help drivers save up to £3,775 on fuel bills over a 3-year contract.

“As EVs become more prevalent, so too do the needs of drivers looking to make the switch,” Edmund King, president of The AA commented. “Alongside the myriad of support options for new customers, we are very excited to be providing our breakdown assistance to Octopus EV’s ultimate EV package. This innovative product really shows that no boxes have been left unchecked when drivers transition to a greener vehicle.”

The new personal electric vehicle package follows the success of Octopus Electric Vehicles’ salary sacrifice scheme, to which 1,500 businesses have signed up in the last 15 months.
