Polestar 4 unveiled – with specs

Swedish carmaker Polestar has unveiled the Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupé and the second SUV in the brand’s line-up, after the Polestar 3 was launched last year.

The vehicle combines the aerodynamics of a coupé with the space of an SUV, resulting in a new breed of SUV coupé.

Polestar 4 is designed from the ground up to celebrate rear occupant comfort and experience.

The design features key elements first shown by the Polestar Precept concept car, including the elimination of the rear window, which enables a new kind of immersive rear occupant experience, and a unique Polestar light signature.

The car is built on the premium Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) developed by Geely Holding, and features a large body, long wheelbase, and a generous interior that is especially evident in the rear.

Sustainability is a key feature of Polestar 4, with more circular and low-carbon materials replacing traditional solutions. However, judging by the price of the Polestar 3 and Polestar 6, the Polestar 4 is likely to be priced over £80,000.

The Polestar 4 is almost stupidly fast, capable of a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds, with a maximum power output of 400 kW. Other manufacturers take note.
