Skoda releases UK price and spec for Enyaq iV electric SUV

Škoda has announced UK prices and specifications for the all-new Enyaq iV SUV, its first ever electric vehicle. The new model will have a starting price of £33,450 (excluding UK Plug-in Car Grant) and will be available with two different battery pack sizes: 62kWh and 82kWh.

The Enyaq shares the same MEB platform used by the Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4. It will support rapid charging with a minimum DC rapid charging capability of 50kW as standard. However, customers can specify higher 100kW (for the 62kWh battery) and 125kW (for the 82kWh battery) DC charge rates as options.

The entry-level 62kWh battery model is equipped with a 180PS (132kW) motor that drives the rear wheels through a single-speed transmission with a WLTP range of up to 242 miles on a single charge. Alternatively, the larger 82kWh RWD model generates 204PS (150kW) and is capable of returning up to 316 miles on a single charge.

If you buy either 62 kWh or 82kWh battery sizes, you will have the possibility to choose your level of comfort and equipment as both options come with the LoftSuite or Lounge interior design packs. However, if you choose the larger battery, the starting price will be a little higher at £38,950.

In addition to the standard 60 Loft and 80 Loft launch models, ŠKODA will expand the Enyaq iV selection to include a range-topping Enyaq iV 80 Founders Edition. The trim features 125kW DC charging, 21in Aquarius alloy wheels, illuminated front grille with LED Crystal Face & Matrix LED headlights and a unique black leather interior design pack as standard, priced at £49,995.

Measuring 4,648 millimetres long and 1,877 wide, the Enyaq iV SUV will be in the same segment as the Aiways U5, which we reported a few weeks ago will arrive in Europe soon.

The model will be available to order from late 2020, with the first UK deliveries expected next Spring. At WhichEV, we cannot wait to test drive the new MEB platform.
