London welcomes the Regent Street Motor Show

From 10:30am to 4pm on Saturday 2nd November, the Royal Automobile Club will be hosting the Regent Street Motor Show in the heart of London's West End. The entire street is being pedestrianised in order to showcase some amazing cars –dating back over 120 years – including an array of next-gen electric vehicles. With up to half a million people expected to attend, this will be the UK's largest show of its kind, and WhichEV will be there.

The EV part of the show will be driven by Go Ultra Low, whose membership roster reads like a who's who of the car industry – with every manufacturer from Audi and Citroen, through to Jaguar, Kia and Mercedes as well as Peugeot, Renault and, of course, Tesla.

Helping to answer questions about the best way to ‘Go Electric', will be all the major manufacturers – alongside green energy companies like Octopus.

WhichEV recently carried a story about the resurrection of the Morris brand and the imminent release of an all electric J-Type van. At the Regent Street Motor Show, another of William Morris' famous marques will also be on show – in the form of an MG ZS EV.

While most of the headlines in recent years have been for electric cars that are north of £40,000, the MG ZS EV starts closer to the £22,000 mark with a range of 160 miles, a host of advanced safety features and the promise of an 80% charge from a service station in just 40 minutes.

Daniel Gregorious, Head of Sales & Marketing at MG, said: “We’re excited to bring our fully-electric ZS EV to the Regent Street Motor Show. We look forward to demonstrating that zero-emissions, value-for-money motoring can be a reality for all.

As well as plenty of car manufacturers, there will be a kid's zone, veteran car area, classic motors and a motorsports section which promises some super-fast EVs.

If you've been considering an electric vehicle, but haven't had the time to get answers to all your questions, then Regent Street looks like a good destination on Saturday 2nd November. It looks to be free, friendly and informative.
