Cupra drops pricing across the board

Looking to boost sales and move more stock through the channel

Cupra, the Spanish automaker, is making strides in enhancing accessibility to electric vehicles (EVs) for UK drivers with a substantial £2,350 price reduction across its Cupra Born range. This move aims to broaden the reach of EVs and make sustainable driving more attainable for a wider audience.

Starting at a revised price of £34,125 for the base model V1 with a 58kWh battery and 204PS power output, the Cupra Born now offers a more affordable entry point into electric motoring. Alongside the price adjustment, Cupra is streamlining its Born line-up by closing certain configurations for new factory orders, simplifying the trim and battery options available to customers.

The revised line-up will include configurations such as the V1 58kWh 230PS, V2 58kWh 230PS, V3 58kWh 230PS, and V3 77kWh 230PS. Additionally, the recently introduced Cupra Born VZ will soon be open for orders, expanding the choices available to consumers.

With these changes, the entry price for the Cupra Born has significantly decreased, making it even more competitive in the EV market. For instance, the entry price for the larger battery option, the V3 77kWh 230PS, will now start at £41,385, representing a reduction compared to the previous price for a similar configuration.

To further incentivise the adoption of electric vehicles, Cupra is offering a range of purchasing incentives for the first quarter of the year. These incentives include options like 0% APR financing for 36 months or a £4,000 deposit contribution at 3.9% APR for 48 months, applicable to orders placed before April 2, 2024. Additionally, customers will benefit from a complimentary Ohme home charger and a £750 pre-paid Mastercard with every retail purchase completed by March 31, 2024.

Furthermore, early adopters who place orders before April 2, 2024, will receive a complimentary Cupra eCare plan covering the first two years of servicing at authorised Cupra Retailers, enhancing the value proposition for potential buyers.

Cupra's commitment to electrification has been evident in its recent successes, with the brand surpassing 230,000 vehicle deliveries in 2023. Each new model launch has contributed to defining Cupra's character, combining electrification with sportiness. From the unique Cupra Ateca to the best-selling Cupra Formentor, and now the fully electric Cupra Born, Cupra continues to push boundaries in the automotive industry.
