In anticipation of the upcoming Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, Nissan has digitally revealed the first in a series of captivating all-electric concept vehicles, starting with the Nissan Hyper Urban. The unveiling sets the stage for a digital series roll-out, with further announcements scheduled for October 10th, 17th, and 19th – leading up to the show's press day on October 25th. Each concept in the series aims to evoke heightened excitement, signified by the use of the (already too popular) word ‘hyper' as is it looks to caters to diverse aspirations and lifestyles.

Nissan's commitment to ‘enriching lives and revolutionising the EV landscape' will, they promise, be evident in the vision being presented at the Japan Mobility Show. The company aims to deliver transformative products and technologies that make a positive impact on the planet while ensuring style and fun are not compromised. The early visualisations are certainly a lot more advanced than you would find on a Nissan forecourt today.

The Nissan Hyper Urban, the first concept in this series, is designed to empower a cleaner world. It specifically targets urban- and suburban-based professionals with a focus on environmental sustainability. The vehicle's sleek and modern aesthetic aligns with the sophisticated tastes of its intended users, making a bold statement while seamlessly blending into the urban and suburban environment.

A notable feature of the Nissan Hyper Urban is its full integration into the EV ecosystem, boasting an impressive V2H (vehicle-to-home) function that provides power to homes, resulting in significant energy cost savings and reduced strain on the power grid.

Additionally, the V2G (vehicle-to-grid) capability allows owners to contribute surplus power to the grid, supporting the local community and earning money in the process. The Intelligent Charging Management System, equipped with AI, autonomously charges vehicles and powers buildings, ensuring efficient energy management.

Sustainability extends beyond power usage to the vehicle's lifespan, catering to individuals conscious of long-term value. Regular hardware and software updates provide a fresh ownership experience over the years, with the interior, for instance, being refreshed with the latest technologies and trends in graphic user interfaces.

The Hyper Urban embodies Nissan's future design and technological capabilities. Its lime yellow exterior, with a chromatic expression that changes based on light angles, captures attention while seamlessly blending into its surroundings. Scissor doors at the front and rear convey openness and character, and the sporty silhouette enhances aerodynamic efficiency, complemented by wide tires for a rugged yet urban aesthetic.

The interior is designed to integrate seamlessly with urban living spaces, with an instrument panel and display inspired by kaleidoscopic triangles that can be customised according to the owner's mood.

The front seats can collapse and fold into the back, creating a private, sofa-like space for relaxation.

Nissan's broader commitment to sustainability is outlined in its long-term vision, Nissan Ambition 2030. The strategy aims to deliver electrified models and technological innovation globally, with the goal of being carbon neutral across the life cycle of products and operations by 2050.

The Nissan AMIEO region, centred around EV36Zero, is poised to accelerate the transition to an electrified future, aligning with Nissan's mission for a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world.
