The Fully Charged Live show will be at Farnborough International from 28th to 30th April and then again in Harrogate from 19th to 21st May. The event will give you a chance to meet up with 50,000 fellow EV enthusiasts – and you’ll be among the first to see the new ATTO 3 from BYD (Build Your Dreams) – the only EV company to be outselling Tesla right now.
Made possible through investment by Berkshire Hathaway, BYD has seen Warren Buffett slowly pulling back from the car maker in recent times – reducing his investment 10 times since last summer. Buffett’s pull back from BYD is not seen as a comment on the manufacturer’s operations (which are doing well), but rather an over-shoot of the share price in comparison to actual revenues. In other words, BYD has seen its stock go through a 600% increase while Buffett was onboard and that stock price is now likely to float down to a more realistic level – based on actual sales.
Until now, most of BYD’s income has come from the Chinese car market, which has seen a slump in sales of almost 7% in Q1 2023 – mostly as a result of the Government pulling back on purchase subsidies. In the longer term, analysts are predicting that BYD shares could go back up by as much as 54% – which is fine for institutional investors, but not from those looking for bullish returns.
