Citymapper users will now be able to access Dott e-bikes and e-scooters in London and other cities

Micro-mobility company, Dott, has announced it is expanding its partnership with Citymapper, the travel and journey planner app. For cities such as London, Paris or Brussels, this expansion means customers will be able to book Dott’s e-scooters through Citymapper, as well as the e-bikes already in place.

Both companies are celebrating the move towards more sustainable, less polluting city transport.

This move will see Dott’s vehicles made available across parts of the Nordics and South of Europe for the first time, including Helsinki, Stockholm and Marseille.

Citymapper helps users to plan journeys across their city, offering numerous options for public and private transport methods. As well as traditional methods such as buses, trains or taxis, users will be given the option of booking a Dott e-scooter or e-bike for their journey.

The app will show them the nearest available Dott vehicle and its battery level. During the journey, the app offers real-time turn-by-turn directions, keeping them to the mapped route, maximising efficiency and avoiding no-go zones. At their destination, they will be guided to the nearest appropriate spot to drop the vehicle.

Stephan Croix, Chief Marketing Officer, Dott, said: “Our fleet of shared e-scooters and e-bikes unlock cities by providing an effortless way to travel in a sustainable way, helping to reduce congestion and pollution. By expanding our partnership with Citymapper, we can help more people discover how Dott’s vehicles can make it easier to commute, visit friends or explore their city.”

Ravi Jolly, Partnerships Manager, Citymapper, said: “Micro-mobility is vital to making cities more sustainable and we’re delighted to extend our partnership with Dott. With their e-scooters and e-bikes now available in our app across more cities, users can easily find their closest vehicle, plan trips, and use our real-time turn-by-turn directions with audio guidance to get there seamlessly.”
