Genesis GV60 to make European debut at Salon Privé

Genesis Motor Company from Seoul in South Korea is unveiling its first all-electric car to European customers at the Salon Privé London motorshow on 21 to 23 April 2022.

The Genesis GV60 is a coupé crossover utility vehicle that will be the “headline start” of the three-day luxury car event, said the automaker.

“It’s a privilege to open the first day of Salon Privé London with the European debut of the Genesis GV60,” said the firm’s director David Bagley. “This is a key model for a brand really making its presence felt, and allowing customers the chance to experience its unique philosophy on a personal level is a perfect fit with the Salon Privé approach.”

Genesis’s philosophy is to set a new standard in customer service while pairing this with luxury design.

The GV60 comes in three variants – a rear-wheel-drive model, an all-wheel drive model and a performance version with all-wheel-drive.

All three models house a large 77.4kWh battery that can be charged from 10-80% in 18 minutes.

Its RWD model can run for up to around 280 miles after each charge. The GV60 is based on the same E-GMP platform as the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6.

Genesis will launch three electric cars in total in Europe this year.

Dominique Boesch, managing director of Genesis Motor Europe commented: “The GV60 marks the first step in our electrification journey as we progress the launch of the Genesis brand – so it is fitting that both Genesis and Salon Privé are both celebrating firsts as we look forward to the inaugural Salon Privé London. To be a part of this collection of amazing, inspirational and famous marques is exciting for Genesis.”

Eight cars in total will be making their global, European or UK debut at Salon Privé.

And the very latest models from the likes of Aston Martin, Ferrari, Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini and Porsche will be on display too.
