Allstar and Zap-Map develop fleet EV payment solution

Electric vehicle payment provider Allstar Business Solutions has announced that is has partnered with the UK’s leading EV mapping service Zap-Map to develop a payment solution for fleets with EVs.

The deal will enhance Allstar’s charging offering to its customers through additional features in the Zap-Map app.

Allstar has over 1.1 million business fuel and expense cards in circulation across 50,000 businesses to help drivers manage their cash flow, simplify admin, and reduce fuel costs.

Paul Holland, managing director of UK fuel at Allstar Business Solutions, said: “Teaming up with Zap-Map has been a key strategic move for Allstar, allowing us to help offer our customers a seamless experience when charging on the road. Zap-Map has over 10 years of industry experience and we are excited to be joining forces.”

Zap-Map, which now has more than 180,000 EV drivers using its app in the UK, details all the charge point locations on a given route. It allows users to search for chargers, plan their journeys, pay for charging and share live updates with other drivers.

“As fleets are now rapidly transitioning to EVs, it’s essential that their experience is as smooth as possible,” said Zap-Map’s commercial director Alex Earl.

“We have been developing services for the EV community for over 10 years and with Allstar’s vast experience of providing services to fleets, we are convinced that together we can have a real positive impact as they increasingly move to electric mobility.”

More details of the joint offering will be revealed over the coming weeks when the product has officially launched.
