The Little Car Company has teamed up with Aston Martin and EON Productions to create a No Time To Die special edition of the Aston Martin DB5 Junior.
This 3-D scanned replica of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 that is making its return in the new James Bond movie No Time To Die on September 30 is three quarters of the original size.
Designed as a convertible, instead of the fixed head coupe driven by 007, this means both an adult and child can sit in the car side by side.
With only 125 of the electric vehicles being built, and a range of up to 80 miles, this is the ultimate collector’s item for Bond fans worldwide.
We are talking Silver Birch paintwork, Smiths instruments, individually numbered chassis plates, completed with Aston Martin badging.
But no Bond car would be complete without its Q-style gadgets.
Operated by individual controls in a hidden switch panel in the passenger door, a push of a button will drop the headlights to reveal a twin set of simulated Gatling guns, complete with imitation barrel blasts and flashes.
There is also a skid mode feature, a unique digital number plate, and just like the original car, it can produce a smoke screen through the rear exhaust to aid a successful getaway.
Unfortunately, there is no ejector seat included, although that will likely bring a sigh of relief to parents.
According to Chris Corbould OBE, special effects supervisor on fifteen of the Bond films and who consulted on the car: “When I saw the DB5 Junior in the flesh, I was amazed at how identical it is to the full-sized car – it's stunning. It’s an amazing feat of engineering.”
If you need to stop in a hurry, you can rely on both regenerative braking and high-performance Brembo disc brakes. It also comes with a quick-release steering wheel making it easy to get in and out of the vehicle.
Although the car is not road legal, at £90,000 a pop, this would work well for those with private estates. The Little Car Club also offers a complimentary membership allowing you to drive it on prestigious racetracks during events.
