MIRA Technology Park is ready to welcome Viritech to Europe’s premier automotive technology campus, in Warwickshire.
Viritech will be working with the experts at the MIRA camp to develop the Apricale hydrogen hypercar. The technology campus will provide comprehensive engineering consultancy services across the entire V-cycle and the most extensive automotive test and proving infrastructure in Europe.
This approach will provide essential flexibility and speed while avoiding significant capital expenditure, which are key aspects for emerging innovators.
The Apricale, which will be sold in limited volumes, is Viritech’s start point for a cleantech revolution based on zero emissions hydrogen powertrain development that will extend into HGV solutions and onward to marine, aerospace and power generation.
The partnership with MIRA Technology allows Viritech to make that necessary step to achieve its ambitious goals, according to Timothy Lyons, CEO & Founder of Viritech.
“Becoming a member of the Horiba Mira community is a game-changer for Viritech, moving us immediately into the big-league in terms of the engineering facilities and support, meaning no engineering project is now beyond us,” he said.
This is just the latest emerging innovator that has decided to work with Horiba Mira as we reported that TOGG, Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group, will also be working with the UK-based engineering consultancy to develop its pioneering electric SUV.
The MIRA Technology Park Campus will also be the site of the Britishvolt headquarters in the West Midlands. Britishvolt is Britain’s foremost investor in battery technologies that aims to establish the UK as the leading force in this field.
