Osprey Charging Network has signed a roaming agreement with GreenFlux, a leading provider of EV charging software and services.
The companies say this will open up Osprey’s UK rapid-charging network to nearly 90,000 EV drivers.
It is expected to enable cross-channel charging across Europe and the UK, with Osprey among the first major UK networks to allow drivers in mainland Europe access to its chargers.
Osprey’s charging networks of more than 300 chargers in 180 UK locations span from as far south as Cornwall to Perthshire in Scotland.
Drivers served by each of GreenFlux’s EMSP customers can now access all 300 of these chargers as well as Osprey’s future charge points (set to double in 2022).
“One of Osprey’s core values is inclusivity for all drivers, and part of the way we achieve this is through being an open-access network,” said Dora Clarke, head of marketing and communications at Osprey.
“We believe by facilitating roaming with like-minded partners such as GreenFlux we can play a leading role in the electrification of transport – by giving fleet operators, companies who cross borders, and long-distance drivers, a charge point network they can rely on away from home.”
DKV Mobility, a leading e-mobility service provider for commercial vehicle fleets across Europe, is just one customer that will benefit greatly from the agreement. The move will allow DKV to expand its fleet offering in the UK as it will allow drivers access to Osprey’s chargers.
