Shared micromobility operator Dott has launched a fleet of 250 e-bikes in Hammersmith and Fulham, providing a new way for people to get around in the boroughs.
The e-bikes can travel at speeds of up to 25kph and cost £0.17 per km with a £1 unlock fee per journey. Passes are available at a reduced cost for regular riders.
Special discounts, free trips and training sessions are available for voluntary and community organisations as part of a unique partnership with Sobus.
Parking is permitted in allocated virtual bays visible in the app to provide more flexibility for riders to easily finish their ride close to their destination.
“Our new e-bikes unlock cities and make them easier to get around, which we hope will help more people choose to travel in an environmentally friendly way,” said Duncan Robertson, Dott’s general manager for UK & Ireland.
“This collaboration with the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham marks the start of our London service, with Dott’s e-bikes soon to be available further across the capital.”
Besides London, Dott also operates its e-bikes in Paris, Brussels, Rome, Milan, and Cologne.
Dott’s e-bikes will be operated using the same model as its existing fleet of e-scooters. It now has more than 40,000 e-scooters dotted around Europe.
