Hispano Suiza is reborn with UK electric hypercar launch at Salon Privé

Legendary Spanish car brand Hispano Suiza has re-emerged with its all-electric hypercar, the Carmen, at Salon Privé, which took place from the 1st till the 5th of September at Blenheim Palace.

The hypercar boasts 820 kW (1,114 hp), a top speed of 290 km/h (181 mph) and a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of less than 2.6 seconds.

Hispano Suiza explained that the hypercar, which heralded the return of the Spanish company to the automotive world, represents technological excellence, high performance and luxury raised to its maximum power.

Salon Privé was chosen for the UK debut of the Hispano Suiza Carmen as the breath-taking gardens of Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are the perfect place to showcase the luxurious and exclusive vehicle.

Designed, developed, and manufactured in Barcelona, it is characterised by sportiness and timeless elegance. The Carmen combines the exclusive legacy of the brand in a modern hyper-luxury vehicle, and it aims to be one of the main stars of the show.

Thanks to the recently launched Unique Tailormade programme, based on the brand´s DNA values – Heritage, Sport and Elegance – clients can choose from 1,904 ways to personalise their dream car, choosing interior and exterior details that make their hypercar truly unique.

Hispano Suiza will only produce 19 units of the Carmen and 5 Carmen Boulogne. On average, building time for each vehicle will be approximately seven months.

Founded in Barcelona, Hispano Suiza manufactured more than 12,000 high-performance luxury vehicles and 50,000 aircraft engines between 1904 and 1946.
