DS Automobiles going entirely electric from 2024

Stellantis has announced that from 2024, every new DS Automobiles model will be available exclusively with a 100% electric powertrain.

The announcement is the logical move as an electrified variant of each model in the DS Automobiles range has been available since 2019, including the popular DS 7 Crossback E-Tense and the new DS 4 and DS 9.

In 2020, DS Automobiles was already the leading multi-energy brand in Europe with the lowest average CO2 emissions (83.1g/km), thanks to its electrified range making up 30% of registrations. The ongoing development of the DS Automobiles range continues to offer high-tech efficiency, dynamism and refinement to customers.

From 2024, DS Automobiles will also unveil a new design, launching the first 100% electric programme from Stellantis based on the new STLA MEDIUM platform. Fitted with a high-capacity battery with up to 104kWh for a range of more than 400 miles, this future model will offer remarkable technology.

Béatrice Foucher CEO of DS Automobiles has explained that it was time for the company to fully commit to an all-electric future as the market landscape is quickly shifting towards battery electric.

“The car industry is experiencing a change whose breadth and speed are unprecedented. As a pioneer, DS Automobiles has anticipated this move, with electrification at the centre of its strategy,” she said. “The next developments in legislation and the EV ecosystem provide opportunities that we want to offer to our customers who already like our electrified range.”
