GWM revamps ORA 03 range for 2025

Launch pricing starts at £25,000 - but will that shoot up soon after?

GWM UK has announced the launch of the updated GWM ORA 03 line-up for 2025, which includes a newly introduced GT variant. Available for pre-orders starting from 21 January, the new models are priced from £24,995, with initial customer deliveries expected in March 2025. We loved the look of the original Ora, which also launched at £25,000, but the company got greedy and the entry level price moved rapidly up to £33,000. The result? What could have been a cute, mass-market model had only sold 1,000 units by January 2024. Can GWM create a genuine/healthy UK channel with this new ORA 03?  Let's check the details.

Updated Range Overview

The all-electric GWM ORA 03 range now offers three trim levels: PURE, PRO, and the new GT. Designed to perform equally well in urban and rural settings, the line-up focuses on delivering practicality, safety, and technology across all variants.

PURE Variant

The entry-level PURE model is powered by a 48 kWh battery, providing an estimated driving range of 192 miles on a single charge. Starting at £24,995, the PURE variant features a 10.25-inch multimedia infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and wireless phone charging.

Safety is a key focus for the ORA 03, with an extensive suite of features included as standard. These include:

  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Intelligent Evade
  • High Beam Assist
  • Traffic Jam Assist
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Adaptive Cruise Control

The vehicle has earned a Five-Star Euro NCAP safety rating, reflecting its comprehensive safety package.

Additional standard features include a 360-degree camera system, rear parking sensors and camera, keyless entry and start, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a facial recognition system.

PRO Variant

The mid-range PRO variant, priced from £28,995, offers enhanced performance and comfort. Powered by a 63 kWh battery, it increases the driving range to 261 miles. In addition to the features available in the PURE model, the PRO variant includes:

  • Leatherette seating with heating for the front seats
  • Auto Parking Assist
  • Auto Reversing
  • Front parking sensors for improved safety and precision

These additional features aim to provide a more refined and user-friendly driving experience.

GT Variant

Sitting at the top of the range is the new GT model, starting at £32,995. The GT trim introduces distinctive styling and additional functionality. Key exterior features include:

  • Unique 18-inch GT Diamond Turned alloy wheels with red detailing
  • Red brake callipers
  • A body kit with wheel arch extensions, front and rear bumper enhancements, and a roof-mounted rear spoiler
  • GT emblems and exclusive badging

The interior reflects the sporty character of the GT with red seat belts, GT-embossed headrests, ventilated and massaging front seats, and red accents throughout the cabin.

The GT variant also incorporates a panoramic sunroof, a heat pump to optimise battery management, and a Launch Control system to deliver a dynamic driving experience.

Warranty and Availability

All variants of the GWM ORA 03 are covered by a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, while the battery is protected by an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty. Pre-orders and test drives for the revised range are now open at more than 35 GWM UK retailers nationwide.

GWM’s Broader Expansion in the UK

Since its UK debut in 2022 with the all-electric ORA 03, GWM UK has focused on combining advanced technology with a human-centred design approach. The ORA 03 is intended to offer high levels of specification and intuitive technology, aiming to simplify and enhance the driving experience.

GWM is a global automotive and technology company involved in the design, R&D, production, and sales of automobiles and components. Its product line-up includes ORA, HAVAL, WEY, TANK, and GWM Pickup. In 2025, GWM UK plans to expand its offerings with the introduction of the Haval brand, including the Haval Jolion Pro Hybrid.
