Kevin and Timmy Hansen have launched a new podcast about their experience as racing drivers. In the first episode, the brothers explain why electric is still king for them in World Rallycross (World RX), despite being beaten by internal combustion. After the championship went electric in 2022, this year the EVs competed against combustion engines in a thrilling World RX championship.
Available on YouTube and Spotify, the new Hansen Brothers Podcast will cover topics dissecting the world of Rallycross, to give insights in the off-season and a look ahead towards 2025.
One big question at the top of the pile for the Hansen World RX Team following the finale of the 2024 FIA World Rallycross season is “Did we make the right decision in the Battle of Technologies?”. They may have lost to the KMS team, who took the top step overall in Türkiye, but the Hansen team doesn’t believe they chose wrong.
The debut episode details the World RX finale in Türkiye. Marvelling at returning star Juha Rytkönen’s Round 10 winning performance on Sunday, they debate the split-second strategic decisions, and how the ”Battle of Technologies” — newly introduced for 2024 — added another layer to the close competition.
The Hansen brothers aim to make their new podcast series both insightful and entertaining, mixing technical insight with personal memories from a lifetime in the paddock.
”The Hansen Brothers Podcast” will be available weekly on YouTube and Spotify.
