The Fully Charged Live show will be at Farnborough International from 28th to 30th April and then again in Harrogate from 19th to 21st May. The event will give you a chance to meet up with 50,000 fellow EV enthusiasts – and you’ll be among the first to see the new ATTO 3 from BYD (Build Your Dreams) – the only EV company to be outselling Tesla right now.
Made possible through investment by Berkshire Hathaway, BYD has seen Warren Buffett slowly pulling back from the car maker in recent times – reducing his investment 10 times since last summer. Buffett’s pull back from BYD is not seen as a comment on the manufacturer’s operations (which are doing well), but rather an over-shoot of the share price in comparison to actual revenues. In other words, BYD has seen its stock go through a 600% increase while Buffett was onboard and that stock price is now likely to float down to a more realistic level – based on actual sales.
Until now, most of BYD’s income has come from the Chinese car market, which has seen a slump in sales of almost 7% in Q1 2023 – mostly as a result of the Government pulling back on purchase subsidies. In the longer term, analysts are predicting that BYD shares could go back up by as much as 54% – which is fine for institutional investors, but not from those looking for bullish returns.
Mark Blundell, Marketing & PR Manager BYD UK told media, “We’re absolutely delighted to showcase our brand and the recently launched ATTO 3 at Fully Charged LIVE South and North which will be the first public events in the UK for BYD. With a range of ATTO 3s available to test drive and our knowledgeable team on hand we’re looking forward to welcoming guests to our stand to discover more about our brand, technology and future plans for BYD in the UK.”
With a net income of over $1 billion in Q4 2022, BYD overtook Tesla to become the world’s biggest EV make by sales – which is some achievement
Here in the UK, the ATTO 3 will be available through the Octopus Salary Sacrifice Scheme and will become one of close to 100 options that EV drivers might be able to choose from.
As well as an array of electric vehicles for you to get your hands on, Fully Charged Live will also have lots of additional features related to a greener tomorrow, including:-
- Home Energy Advice Team
- Zero Carbon Kitchen
- Commercial Vehicle Zone
- Fully Charged BUSINESS
- Two-Wheel Test Track
At the centre of the event will be a series of 50 live sessions, where the programme’s presenters will be covering a variety of relevant topics that any EV enthusiast will want to know more about.
Dan Caesar, CEO of the Fully Charged SHOW, says, “We've long predicted that Chinese carmakers would play a pivotal role in the global transition to electric vehicles, and there are none bigger than BYD. We are delighted to welcome them to multiple Fully Charged LIVE shows in 2023. We know from our YouTube analytics, that our audience is eager to see, touch and test BYD's electric cars, not least as until now there has been a shortage of more affordable electric vehicles in European markets. At the Fully Charged SHOW we have a unique vantage point – we work with over a hundred carmakers old and new – we are on the cusp of a paradigm shift in the automotive market. Legacy automakers can no longer rely on long-held brand loyalties, and a huge percentage of the car market is in play. Fully Charged LIVE is the only physical event where you can see almost every electric vehicle available as part of an educational, entertaining day out.”
