Allstar Business Solutions, a fuel card and EV payment company, has partnered with community EV charge point installer, Charge My Street.
The partnership will focus on providing charging access to EV drivers that do not have off-street parking by installing public charge points throughout residential areas.
With more businesses making the transition to electric fleets and many drivers taking their work car home with them at the end of the day, Charge My Street, funded by community investment, has been providing recharging facilities and is working to ensure that EV drivers are no more than a five-minute walk from the nearest charge point.
“We are delighted to partner with Allstar, supporting the UK’s businesses in recharging their EVs at home even when there is not an off-street solution available,” said Daniel Heery, director of Charge My Street. “Our goal is for every home to be within a five-minute walk of a charge point as we firmly believe in making EVs accessible for everyone.”
The partnership will also help increase Allstar’s network with a further 110+ chargers across 50+ locations. Taking the total network size to more than 2,000 locations and around 5,700 chargers after it added Alfa Power, Allego, ESB Energy, LiFe, GeniePoint, Mer, Osprey, Plug-N-Go, Source London, and GRIDSERVE Electric Highway to its network.
“Ensuring that all Fleet drivers have the opportunity to transition to EVs is critical,” said Tom Rowlands, managing director at Allstar. “That’s why it’s so important to join forces with the likes of Charge My Street, which will provide a convenient solution for those drivers that cannot have their own residential charge point.”
