Renault confirms Megane E-Tech pricing and specs

Renault has announced the prices and specs of its new all-electric Mégane E-Tech. The hatchback is built on an advanced platform for new generation EVs and is available at a starting OTR price of £35,995.

With a 217hp electric motor and a 60kWH battery, the car can travel 280 miles on a single charge and sprint 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds. The DC charging capability of 130 kW allows up to 186 miles of range to be added in 30 minutes.

Renault is offering the vehicle in three variants – Equilibre, Techno and Launch Edition.

The base variant, Equilibre, is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, one-touch electric windows, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, keyless entry, a 12.3-inch driver display along with a 9-inch infotainment display and 4-speaker Arkamys audio system.

The car also offers safety features such as distance warning alert, traffic sign recognition, auto emergency braking, driver drowsiness alert, lane and hill start assist together with emergency e-call.

In addition, the mid-grade Techno variant offers 20-inch alloy wheels, dynamic turn signals, dual climate control, height and electric lumbar support for front seats, wireless charging and automatic wipers.

The top of the range Launch Edition includes a different set of 20-inch alloy wheels, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a smart rear-view mirror and a 3D camera system.

The French automaker is offering a 5-year manufacturing warranty and an 8-year battery warranty.

The Mégane E-Tech Electric is currently open for bookings with deliveries expected later this year.
