Volkswagen says ID. Buzz electric van is perfect digital office

Working from the car? That could be a possibility with the ID. Buzz, according to Volkswagen. It comes complete with all the latest technology and all the space to be as creative as you’d like.

A key feature of the ID. Buzz’s tech-packed interior is the number of USB-C ports that offer fast charging, with an output of 45 watts, which is ideal if you need to charge your laptop or tablet on the go.

Along with the exterior, there’s a lot of options you can choose for the interior, too. This allows drivers of the ID. Buzz to customise the inside of their vehicle to exactly how they would like it.

“We have developed a vehicle layout with a logical and intuitive interior concept and variable use of space. The interior becomes a digital living room or office – just like our customers are familiar with from their own homes,” said Jozef Kabaň, Head of Volkswagen Design.

Options include small folding tables on the back of the front seats, which are perfect for laptops or phones. Three USB-C ports come as standard in the ID. Buzz and two come with the ability to transfer data. Three more ports are available as options and two more will be available in the near future.

There is a multitude of digital displays in the ID. Buzz. The radio system has a 10-inch screen that comes complete with navigation. An optional 12-inch screen is also available.

An extra layer of help is at hand with the Hello ID. voice assistant, which can accurately identify what the driver is saying and offer solutions and answers provided by sources both offline inside the car and from the cloud.

This, along with the intuitive ID. light, We Connect and the removable Buzz Box, creates an excellent environment to work or just to relax in.

The front seats are also approved by the AGR (German Campaign for Healthier Backs) as they offer a higher seating position and a full view of the surroundings.

You can read more about how the ID. Buzz was created here.

You can also prebook an ID.Buzz via Volkswagen’s website.
