Fiat UK is partnering with electric car subscription service Onto, adding 600 of its new Fiat 500s to Onto’s growing fleet of EVs.

Onto’s customers will now be able to able to subscribe to both the hatchback for £519 and the convertible for £599 per month.

Through the monthly subscription, customers can access insurance, 750 miles per month servicing and maintenance as well as free public charging at over 12,500 stations.

The new 500s provided by Fiat are all equipped with a 42kWh battery, giving the cars a range of up to 199 miles. A 24kWh version will also be on offer.

The release of the new 500s marks the third generation of Fiat’s iconic car and the first model fully electric vehicle in the carmaker’s history.

In line with Fiat’s sustainability focus, the 500s will not only be powered by electricity but will also feature seats made partially from SEAQUAL MARINE PLASTIC, recycled using plastic found in the oceans and on land.

Greg Taylor, Fiat and Abarth UK managing director, said: “We’re delighted this significant fleet partnership with Onto will take our New 500 to an audience contemplating the switch to electric.”

London-based Onto was founded in 2017, with the mission to speed up the UK’s EV adoption by offering an alternative to traditional car ownership. The addition of the 500s will make Onto’s EV fleet the largest in the country.

Rob Jolly, CEO and co-founder of Onto added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Fiat who share our passion for improving electric vehicle adoption and choice for customers.”
