The global premier of the production electric Mustang by Charge Cars is to be held at the inaugural Salon Privé London, Royal Hospital Chelsea from 21 to 23 April 2022.

Just 499 examples of the all-electric Mustang will be made available, with customers able to order the EV at the exclusive luxury car event.

This is a redefined version of the revered 1967 Fastback model.

It was built by London-based EV company Charge Cars that specialises in the development of luxury vehicles.

The Charge Cars Mustang is based on the design of the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.

Boasting a quad-motor configuration, the electric Mustang provides 536bhp and a 0-62mph sprint time of just 3.9 seconds.

With a 200-mile range, the Mustang runs on a 64kWh battery, which supports up to 50kW of rapid charging.

The officially licensed shells preserve the classic design and styling of the Ford Mustang. But the use of composite body panels minimises weight thereby creating greater efficiency.

An immersive VR experience will be available to view the interior and customers can physically explore the cabin too. A number of bespoke options will also be available for those looking to make a purchase, though these options have not been specified.

“We truly believe we have created something unique in the EV world. A brand new, hand-built design icon that gives our customers a genuine emotional connection with their car. Cutting edge technology, zero emissions but now with heart and soul,” said Mark Roberts, chief creative officer at Charge Cars.

Other luxury EVs making their debut at Royal Hospital Chelsea include the latest models of Alpine, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce.
