Automotive manufacturer Stellantis has unveiled its blueprint for net zero carbon emissions by 2038.
Dubbed ‘Dare Forward 2030’, Stellantis’s strategy builds on last year’s EV Day to set the course for 100% of sales in Europe and 50% of sales in the US to be BEVs by the end of this decade.
The conglomerate plans to manufacture more than 75 BEVs and reach global annual BEV sales of 5 million vehicles by 2030.
The former is due to launch in early 2023 whilst the truck will arrive in 2024.
There is also the Ram ProMaster BEV due to go on sale in late 2023.
Some other key facts outlined in the document are to increase planned battery capacity by 140GWh to approximately 400GWh and expand hydrogen fuel cell technology for large vans in 2024.
“We aim to be No. 1 in customer satisfaction for our products and services in every market,” said Stellantis in a statement.
“We will pay exceptional attention to the full end-to-end experience, working to eliminate any friction throughout the value chain. We will lead the commercial vehicle market with the most efficient portfolio of products and services bringing exceptional solutions to our professional customers.”
