Toyota’s luxury vehicle division Lexus has released a gallery of pictures and animations of its next generation all-electric sports car.

Acceleration from 0-62mph will be in the low two-second range and the possible use of solid-state batteries means the EV will likely exceed 430 miles on a single charge.

“With the bold proportions and low ride height required for a high-performance sports car, the new model symbolises the future of the Lexus brand while also reviving the spirit of the iconic Lexus LFA,” said Lexus in a statement.

The sports car was first announced back in December 2021 by Toyota’s president Akio Toyoda who said that Lexus plans to build 30 BEVS by 2030.

Lexus aims to fully leverage the potential of electrification, harnessing its unique performance development capabilities to offer its customers a range of driving experiences.
