ŠKODA announces ultra-exclusive Enyaq iV Founders Edition

ŠKODA has confirmed that 50 examples of their new ‘Founders Edition’ Enyaq iV electric SUV have been earmarked for the UK market.

With just 1,895 units being made worldwide, the model celebrates ŠKODA’S new era of electrification, and pays tribute to Vaclav Laurin and Václav Klement who founded the brand back in 1895.

Priced from £46,725, the special version gives buyers a choice of two paint colours – Arctic Silver or Black Magic.

Every Founders Edition comes with a set of 21-inch alloy wheels, a unique badge for the front wings, and an eye-catching Crystal Face grille, featuring 130 LED lights. The frame of the grille, window frames and roof rails are all rendered in gloss black, as is the rear diffuser and rear apron.

Inside, there is a bespoke numbered steering wheel (pictured below) to mark the SUV’s position in the build series.

Elsewhere inside, all models come with ŠKODA’s Suite Design Selection pack – black strips and black leather seats along with cognac brown piping. Completing the interior specification is a heated steering wheel, black headlining, aluminium pedals, and privacy rear glass windows.

Building on the Enyaq 80 model, additional equipment in the Founders Edition includes a keyless advanced locking and starting system, wireless charging for mobile devices and driver alert.

This model comes with an 82kWh battery pack (of which 77kWh is usable), and although ŠKODA is yet to confirm the range, a standard Enyaq iV with the same powertrain can do 331 miles.

When connected to a 125kW DC rapid charger, it can be charged to 80% in 38 minutes, whilst a full charge via an AC wallbox takes around 13 hours.
