YourParkingSpace rebrands to focus on EV parking

Online parking portal YourParkingSpace.co.uk has revealed that its service will have a major focus on electric vehicle (EV) parking and charging as part of its rebranding.

The company has unveiled the complete rebrand with a stylish new P logo, new website design and social pages, following a recent £5 million funding investment from Pelican Capital to further develop its proprietary technology.

The new environmentally conscious approach follows the innovative agreement with Atlas Hotels, which initially has seen the installation of five EV charge points at the Holiday Inn Express Bicester, with plans to install a further 250 charge points over the next 12 months at properties operated by the hotel group.

The increased focus on electric vehicles has become a priority for the company due to the increasing popularity of the technology and the need to reduce the carbon footprint according to Harrison Woods, managing director at YourParkingSpace.co.uk.

“Our new look reflects where YourParkingSpace.co.uk is going as a business, including emphasising the link between pre-booked parking and the subsequent reduction in the carbon footprint,” he said. “As well as some notable EV charging partnerships, we’ve also witnessed a significant growth in the number of individuals listing their empty parking space with an EV charging facility, some 4,000 to date, and this perfectly reflects our bold new image.”

The online parking portal markets and manages over 65,000 parking locations UK-wide, ranging from private driveways through to commercial car parks. According to the company, its service saves 132 tonnes of CO2 per year as customers drive directly to a reserved space rather than driving round searching for an empty space.

In February last year, research by YourParkingSpace showed that 10% of home EV charging points were in driveways that were rented rather than owned by their users.
